Arrive in Nairobi
You are met on arrival and taken by private transfer to your hotel. Rest after the flight — the safari begins properly tomorrow.
Nairobi, gently
A relaxed day in Nairobi, with a visit to a wildlife conservation project if you wish. Your advisor confirms the next morning's flight and what to pack for the bush.
Fly to the Maasai Mara
A short flight takes you over the Rift Valley to the Mara, where your guide meets you at the airstrip. A first game drive runs on the way to your lodge.
The Mara, morning and evening
Head out at dawn when the animals are most active, return for a late breakfast and rest, then drive again in the cooler late afternoon. Dinner is at the lodge under a wide sky.
A full day on the plains
Spend the day following the Mara river and the open plains, with a picnic lunch in the shade. Your guide shapes the route around what you most hope to see.
Into the conservancy
Move to a private conservancy bordering the reserve, where visitor numbers are limited. Here, guided walks and night drives are possible in a way they are not inside the reserve itself.
Conservancy life
A slower day — a morning walk with a local guide, time at the lodge, and a final evening drive ending with drinks as the sun sets. If you wish, visit a nearby community project supported by the conservancy.
Return to Nairobi
One last early drive if time allows, then fly back to Nairobi for your onward journey. Day rooms and transfers are arranged so the last day does not feel rushed.
